OBSOLETE is a roguelite platformer developed for goat game jam 3

Set in a dystopian cyberpunk future overrun by robots, you play as an outdated, obsolete clone. Navigate various platforming challenges and collect credits across each run to upgrade your systems extending your lifespan, boosting your movement speed and jump height, unlocking a blaster, and increasing your ammo capacity. Keep running, collecting, and upgrading until you transform this expired unit into an overpowered killing machine.

                                                                            

HOW TO PLAY

At the start of the game, your character has extremely limited mobility and only a 5 second lifespan to gather credits before dying to the timer or enemy robots. Between runs, you use those collected credits to purchase permanent upgrades including: faster movement speed, jump unlocks (jump height and double jump), an extended timer, credit multipliers, and a blaster with expandable ammo. By repeating the loop and steadily upgrading your stats, you eventually become strong enough to reach the end of the level.
